Estate Walk: Holt Heath
Discover the fascinating history and nature of Holt Heath, and be joined part-way round by a National Trust Ranger to hear about some of the ongoing conservation work.
Holt Heath is an important lowland heath and is home to local plants including common heather, bell heather, cross-leaved heather, bog asphodel, sundews and marsh gentian. Birds include large populations of Dartford warbler, stonechat, curlew and nightjar. All six of Britain’s reptile species are found here.
