Learn about some of the different species of bees and their individual habits and food preferences with our resident bee enthusiast gardener.

Learn how to spot and identify different bees and why they are so important. Walking and talking with gardener, Aden, discover how we garden at Scotney to encourage our bees and pollinators learn how you can encourage more into your own garden.

Please note:

  • Normal admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
  • Meet at the Garden noticeboard on the garden side of Visitor Entrance.
  • Comfortable shoes for walking are recommended.
  • Steep inclines in the garden. Hard-surface paths suitable for wheelchairs and powered mobility vehicles. No WCs in garden.
  • Many of our cut flower beds are in the walled garden where only assistance dogs are permitted.
  • Book your car parking as well as your place on the talk in order to guarantee entry. Bookings open every Thursday four weeks in advance.
