Shenington circular walk

Take in big skies, historic vistas and the imprint of a pioneering landscape designer on this 4.8-mile circular walk from Upton House and Gardens.

Join volunteer walk leaders who will guide you on this stunning countryside route towards Shenington. The route includes woodland paths skirting the edge of the historic Temple Pool designed by Gothic landscape designer, Sanderson Miller. Relax afterwards with a hot drink in our Pavilion Cafe. 

Distance: 4.3 miles (6.5km)
Time: approx. 2 hr 30 mins
Difficulty level: moderate - includes some moderate climbs.

The walk start and finish in Upton's visitor car park. Each adult ticket includes a regular hot drink from the Pavilion Cafe. You will not be charged for car parking.

Start time: 10:30am. Meet outside Visitor Reception where the walk leader will be waiting to welcome you.

Sorry, dogs are not permitted on the walk

Please note:

  • Meet in front of Visitor Reception ready for a prompt 10:30am start.
  • Wear suitable walking boots/shoes and outdoor clothing to protect against cold/wind/rain/heat.
  • Bring your own refreshments and also bring sun cream.
  • Please note this walk follows public footpaths across fields, which may be muddy and uneven. The route includes a few stile crossings and moderate climbs and may not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
  • Children over 16 are welcome, supervised by parent/guardian.
  • If you are unable to attend on the day, please kindly contact the property directly to let us know that you are not coming.
