Discovering WWII at Studland Walk - Knoll Beach & Fort Henry

Studland became one of the most important WWII battle training areas in the country with thousands of troops trained here involved in D Day. Join us for a walk exploring this important time in British history.

Today Studland is known for its miles of sandy beaches and importance as a National Nature Reserve but a former life is revealed by the remains of enigmatic WWII structures dotted around the site. A fresh look at the Bankes Archive and the Canadian and British War Diaries is revealing stories never told before.
Join us as we explore the landscape with help from WWII maps and look for clues that tell us what really happened here.
