Join National Trust archaeologist Nathalie Cohen as she takes you on a tour of a live archaeological dig.

Archaeologist for National Trust properties in London and South-East. Natalie will share her extensive knowledge of the history and archaeology of Bodiam as you explore the dig site, learn about the finds and watch excavations in action. 

Thursday 7 – Saturday 9 August, 11.00am
Thursday 14 – Saturday 16 August, 11.00am
Thursday 21 – Friday 22 August, 11.00am & 2.00pm

£8 per adult, £4 per child. 

Max. 25 per tour. 1 hour duration.
Booking essential.

Content of tour may vary from day to day depending on the discoveries made over the duration of the 3 week dig project.

Please note:

• Please meet outside Visitor Reception where you will be taken to the dig site.
• This event takes place outside. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
• This event takes place over uneven terrain and is unsuitable for those with limited mobility and wheelchair users. Please see the access pages at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/bodiam-castle for further information.
• Suitable for adults and children aged 8 plus, accompanied by an adult.
• Other information: £5 parking per car for non-members which can be purchased on arrival. Parking is free for National Trust members. 
• If you would like to visit the castle and grounds, non-members will need to purchase an admission ticket from Visitor Reception.
