Around Shalford guided walk
When we say 'around Shalford' we really mean the countryside around Shalford. This is a 6.5mile guided walk from Artington park and ride round in a big circle and back to Artington...
We'll head along the towpath from St Catherine's lock to the disused railway line near Broadford Bridge. We follow the Wey and Arun for a bit, scout around Chinthurst Hill and along East Shalford Lane to Shalford Mill before heading back to Broadford Bridge and the Artington car park.
Please note:
- Meet at the north east corner of the Artington Park and Ride (free) on the A3100. Postcode: GU3 1LP Keep going left as far as you can when you enter the park and ride.
- When we did the pre walk there were some brambles and nettles, so long trousers might be preferable to shorts
- Rough, uneven paths which are not very accessible in places
- If the group decides to stop at the Seahorse in Shalford, the return time will be delayed.
