Dune Wildlife Walk and Talk

Join us on Thursday 25 June, to celebrate World Sand Dune Day, at National Trust Formby, Lifeboat Road car park Bay 1 (L37 2EB)

Join ranger Chris for a walk and talk through Formby’s protected dunes. Along the way you’ll discover more about the conservation work we are doing to help this special habitat thrive and find out more about all the wonderful wildlife that call the dunes home.

Please note:

  • Standard parking charges apply to non-members on arrival.
  • We’ll meet at Lifeboat Road car park, Bay 1 (the first bay on the left as you pass the portable toilets). You’ll find us by the large information map board, close to the bins.
  • Weather appropriate clothing, sun cream and a hat recommended. No sandals or open toe shoes, sturdy shoes are a must. Bring refreshments.
  • The walk is suitable for people of all ages, but please note that the dunes are uneven and over undulating ground. Unfortunately, access to the dunes is inaccessible for wheelchair users and prams.
  • Children must be accompanied at all times.
  • There are 15 places available for this event. Booking is essential and tickets are free. Parking is free for National Trust members and Blue Badge holders.
