Beginners kayak/canoe sessions at The Argory

Join MYOA for a beginner-friendly kayaking/canoeing session along the Blackwater as part of our Summer of Play.

Ever wanted to learn to kayak or thought that canoeing looked fun? Now is your chance to join these beginner-friendly sessions at The Argory. Explore the River Blackwater and see The Argory from a new perspective. In these sessions, everything you need will be provided, so it's the perfect opportunity to test out a new sport.

Sessions are open to adults and children over the age of 8. All children will need to be accompanied in a tandem canoe with a guardian. Adults may book a tandem canoe (takes two people) or a single kayak. While we will do our best to make these sessions accessible to all fitness levels, participants will need to be able to get in and out of a kayak and paddle for up to 90 minutes.

Please note:

  • Wear comfortable athletic wear that you don't mind getting wet.
