Forest school at Lorna Doone
Join our ranger team for a day of fun and building confidence in the outdoors while learning new skills.
Join Maia from the West Exmoor ranger team learning new skills like campfire cooking, woodworking, whittling and more.
Chose between a morning session (10am-12pm) or an afternoon session (1pm-3pm). £2 per session.
Children 7 & under must be supervised by an adult during the session. Normal parking charges apply (free parking for NT members) Tickets only need to be bought for children taking part in the forest school.
The Buttery Café (not national trust) is on site with hot food and drinks available to purchase.
Please note:
- Normal parking charges apply, free for National Trust members.
- The Forest school is next to the main carpark, which is behind the Buttery Café. EX35 6NU.
- Please arrive at least 5 min before your session is due to start.
- Children will need to dress for the weather and wear clothes that can get messy. Please bring plenty of water, snacks and a packed lunch.
- Accessible toilet is available on site, ground in the forest school area is uneven.
- Children are welcome.

- The event may be cancelled due to high winds or poor weather.
