Natural Dye Demo and Workshop with Ruth Osborne
Join local Artist Ruth Osborne for a Natural Dye demo and workshop inspired by Rowallane Garden.Working with Autumn windfall - bark, leaves and plants. We will create samples of dyed fabric and wool.
Working with Autumn windfall - bark, leaves and plants. We will create samples of dyed fabric and wool. Participants will gain insight into the process, create a range of naturally dyed samples to take home.
Participants will also have a chance to experiment with botanical printing using some pre-dyed samples of material.
Please note:
- Meet at the front of Rowallane House. Please check in at Welcome Area upon arrival.
- Dress appropriately for the weather to ensure your own comfort - using dyes may get messy so dress with that in mind.
- PMVs available on request.
- Age guidance 14+ - must be accompanied by an adult.
- Gates close promptly at 4pm.
