Hardwood cuttings & lifting and dividing masterclass (half day)

This half day workshop will focus on Hardwood Cuttings - the quickest way to grow deciduous plants and shrubs and lifting and dividing herbaceous plants.

When dealing with hardwood cuttings, the process generally involves taking a section of a stem or branch from a hardwood tree or shrub to propagate a new plant. Hardwood cuttings are typically taken from deciduous trees and shrubs during their dormant season, usually in late autumn to early winter.

This series of workshops will cover most of the main propagation groups, techniques and equipment, allowing you to build your propagation skills.

Tools will be provided and each participant will go home with the plants they have propagated, along with information on how to care for them, and as these hardwood cuttings grow quickly, additional care is needed.

You will get 'hands-on' experience under the expert guidance of our Gardeners.

Please note:

  • On arrival please make your way to reception and check in with our Welcome Team.
