Ecology campout with mist netting at Kipscombe
Come and spend a night of free wild camping and nature activities at Kipscombe.
Join us for a BBQ from 5pm (bring your own food) followed by moth identification at 6:30pm and a night walk with bat detectors and a thermal scope. After an evening of wild camping, there will be the opportunity to join an early morning session at 5:30am with a bird expert, who will set up mist nets and take a closer look at the birds that call Kipscombe home.
Booking is essential to secure a free camping spot at Kipscombe. You can book your camping spot online here, one spot per tent. Maximum tent size 6 person. Toilets are available on site.
This is a overnight event running from 5pm on Wednesday 21 August - 10am on Thursday 22 August.
Please note:
- Parking is available in the car park just off of the A39 (what3words: smaller.hardback.escalates), approximately 1 mile past the Blue Ball Inn. Signage will direct you down to Kipscombe Farm.
- There will be walking throughout, in the dark and in daylight, so please bring sturdy footwear and warm clothing.
- Children are welcome.
- 2-man tents will be available to borrow. Please contact maia.rhoads@nationaltrust.org.uk.
