Finding Father Christmas at Standen
Follow the trail through the garden to visit Father Christmas in his woodland den.
Excitement is building as Father Christmas has arrived at Standen to call on two of his festive helpers. But these sprites do not busy themselves with gift-making...for these are woodland elves and their festive duties are of an altogether different nature!
Join them on their adventure to find Father Christmas in his woodland abode, spreading Yuletide cheer and making sure that not no bending bough, bright-coloured berry or bustling beetle is untouched by a little spark of Christmas magic.
Expect merry mirth-making, festive folk tales and, of course, Father Christmas himself!
Please note:
- Normal admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- On arrival, register at Visitor Reception, where you will be given a trail map and details of performance times. Your allocated performance will start 30 minutes after the ticket time.
- This is an outdoor experience so do wear appropriate clothing to keep warm and dry outdoors, including hats and suitable footwear to enable lots of walking.
- The grounds at Standen are on a hillside. Please be aware some areas may become slippery when wet, expect uneven pathways and steps. Check our accessibility statement for full details.
- This event is aimed at children up to 12 years and accompanying adults.
- Please note the time on your ticket is your arrival time. The performance will start promptly 30 minutes after arrival. Have fun exploring the map and following the route to find the sprites in the garden and begin your adventure! The experience will last for approximately 45 mins.
- All attendees will need to purchase a ticket to access the event. Babes in arms under 6 months will need a booked free ticket. This ticket does not include a gift, so please book a 0-2 ticket if a gift is required.
- Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, unless the event is cancelled.
