Join a walk in the parkland to find Knole's resident bats with expert ecologist Sally-Ann from Mountfield Ecology.

Before we set off on the walk, there will be hot drinks and biscuits available, whilst our expert Sally-Ann gives an introduction into these fascinating and elusive creatures. You will then head out into the beautiful parkland and we will supply you with a bat detector in hopes of getting a glimpse of some resident bats. 

The walk will last around 45 mins to 1 hour, and goes over some rough, uneven ground. The walk will take place in the evening dusk, so please bring a torch and wear appropriate footwear. 

Booking essential. Not suitable for children under 12 years.

Please note:

  • Please meet in the park outside the front of the house. The meeting point will be signposted.
  • Please dress for the outdoors - wrap up warm and wear suitable footwear. This walk will finish in the evening so you may wish to bring a torch.
  • This walk will go off paths so is unsuitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
  • Not suitable for children under 12 years.
