Wild wonders & seasonal discoveries: a nature walk with a Gibside ranger

Step into the wild with Gibside ranger Nick, and uncover the secrets of seasonal nature and conservation on this immersive guided walk.

Join Nick for a 2.5 hour adventure through Gibside’s ever-changing landscape. Whether it’s the delicate wildflower meadows bursting into bloom, dragonflies and butterflies dancing over the ponds, or the silent watch of birds of prey overhead, you’ll experience nature in a whole new way.

Nick’s wealth of knowledge brings the hidden world of insects, mysterious fungi, and ancient plant folklore to life, giving you a deeper appreciation of the land and its inhabitants. You may even spot roe deer or hares, and if conditions allow, you might take part in a wildlife survey, contributing to real conservation efforts.

Adapted to the season and the weather, every walk offers something unique—so whether you're a nature enthusiast, outdoor explorer, or just curious to see the world differently, this is an experience not to be missed!
