Clumber Park's Wartime Escape Game
Bringing to life Clumber’s historic connections with WW1 & WW2, enter our brand-new Wartime Escape Game and solve the mystery.
Test your puzzle solving skills as you and your team have an hour to work your way through our Wartime Mystery Rooms. Appropriate for ages 8+. Booking is essential and admission into the park applies. Teams of up to six people per one hour slot.
If you are a fan of escape rooms, this event is perfect for you. This activity will ask you to solve different types of ciphers, clues, and riddles to unlock the mystery.
Before booking you should be aware that:
You have only one hour to solve the three rooms.
Booking times are strictly fixed due to our need to reset rooms before the next group arrive. Late arrival will eat into your solving time. We are not able to extend time slots, so if you have not solved the mystery when the time is up, you will have to leave without knowing the results. Don't worry though - you will be given time reminders while inside and the team are around to help if you get stuck.
Please be aware that you will be in a historic building, which is not built to be an escape room. We are not able to change some elements of the room but have worked hard to make this a detailed and challenging experience. We ask that visitors keep this in mind and further details will be explained on arrival.
This is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental.
Please note:
- This event is in the Old Parsonage. Please arrive 5 minutes early for your session to make sure it starts on time. The Old Parsonage is located between the Chapel and the Clock Tower.
- Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather, although the event is indoors. If you would like to dress up in 1940's wartime or investigator outfits for the event, we encourage you!
- We have taken care to make this event as accessible as possible, however some elements of the room may be out of reach for some people. On hand is a team member who will be able to support if this is the case.
- The toilet inside the building does have a step to it, however, there are accessible facilities onsite that can be used before or after the time slot.
- It is recommended that young children do not participate due to the challenge. Under 18's must be supervised by an adult who must also be booked onto the event in the same time slot. We advise that this escape room-like activity is suitable for older children and adults, however based on feedback, we are aware that children as young as 8 may be able to participate. As such we leave this to the discretion of the booking adult, however please be aware that some elements of this event are quite challenging.
- No dogs are allowed for this event.
- There are six places per time slot. If you book in with less people than this, you may be joined by other visitors that you haven't met before - we will try to fill each slot. If your party exceeds 6 people, we may be able to accommodate an additional 1 or 2 members - please get in touch if you have a query about this.
- Please book online - we are unable to take bookings over the phone.
