Ranger’s ramble: protecting our ancient woodland

Immerse yourself in our ancient autumnal woodland with one of our rangers!

From fungi to fruits, this guided walk is an opportunity for visitors to discover the seasonal wonders of an autumnal woodland. Our ranger will share insights into the ongoing conservation work to protect this precious landscape and will be on hand to answer all your questions along the way.

  • Adults: £8
  • Children: £6

Please be aware that paths are uneven and may be muddy. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the weather.

Please note:

  • The group will meet at the visitor centre and begin the walk from there.
  • The walk will begin promptly at 10:30am. 
  • Please wear suitable clothing for the weather and appropriate footwear.
  • We are sorry but due to the terrain this event is not suitable for wheelchairs, mobility vehicles or pushchairs.
  • Children welcome to participate.
