In this afternoon talk, 'Revealing footprints of the past', National Trust archaeologist, Mark Newman reveals secrets of Wentworth Castle gardens discovered beneath its surface. Discoveries that have been made using both familiar and more modern 'tools of the trade', including new technology.
Be amongst the first to find out what the future holds for further investigations of the site.
A warm drink, homemade treat and chance for an informal chat with Mark and others completes this revealing afternoon event.
Tickets are £8 plus normal admission (free entry for NT members).
Please note:
- Normal Admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- The event will take place in the Blackbourn room within the conservatory building. This is 800 metres uphill from the Visitor Reception Building so allow time to get to the room.
- A buggy is available at the Visitor Reception building to support those who need extra help. Accessible toilets are available.
- Suitable for ages over 16.
- A hot drink and scone are provided as part of the event.
