Join us for a free guided walk and learn how to identify the trees across the estate by their leaves, bark, and seeds. Discover the differences between an English Oak and a Sessile Oak, how to tell Elder from Ash, and what you can do with Elder throughout the seasons, plus much more.

The walks are from 1.5 - 3 miles and might be on stoned paths, or through fields. All with the support of our friendly, experienced walking volunteers

Dogs on leads welcome. This event is free.

Please note:

  • On arrival head to the Welcome Centre and inform them you are here for a well-being walk. The meeting point is outside the tea-room, where our walking volunteers will be to greet you.
  • Wear sensible footwear, warm clothes and waterproofs. Dress for the weather.
  • Ground will be uneven and over hilly terrain.
