Fungi Friday: a Guided Walk

Discover the funky fungi that grows in Foremark's woodland on an autumnal walk with a ranger.

With their other-worldly shapes and colours, fungi is a highlight of this time of year.  However, if you're not sure where to look, these gems can be tricky to find. 

From fly agarics and scarlet elf cups to chicken of the woods, uncover the best of Foremark's fungi with your guide and learn how to identify these fascinating organisms.

Please note:

  • Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival. 
  • Please meet outside the refreshment kiosk near the main car park, by the map.
  • Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, including waterproofs if weather appropriate.
  • This walk is approximately 1.3 miles. The route follows mostly hardstanding paths; however, two paths are along grass. There are no steps or stiles. Toilets are available at the start and end of the walk.
  • Most suitable for children aged 5+.
  • Dogs are welcome on short leads.
