Stop by Father Christmas in his Grotto this year to share your festive wishes in our historic stables.

This year, why not come and visit Father Christmas in his Grotto in our historical stable yard? 

Father Christmas will be welcoming visitors in the grotto for families who would like to share their festive wishes and then receive a wrapped Christmas book as a gift. 

These grotto sessions are perfect for families with young children who wish to have a small grotto experience. 

Pre-booking is required for all Grotto sessions. Please book by clicking on the ‘Check Availability’ button. 

Our Father Christmas is played by Clive PiG - Storyteller and Children's Author.

Please note:

• Entry to Father Christmas does not include entry to the house and needs to be booked separately. Car parking charges apply unless an NT member.
• Please head to the Tack room which is located in the stables area near the cafe tipi. Please arrive at the start of your booking slot time. Please be prepared to queue outside if the previous session has overrun.
• The Tack room can get quite chilly, so wrap up warm
• Level access into the Tack room, it can be a little bumpy going in. There is cobbles to get to Visitor Welcome and gravel through to the courtyard.
• Children of all ages welcome.
