Wellbeing Walks at Sutton Hoo

Get out in the fresh air, re-connect with nature, stretch your legs and walk your way to better wellbeing on one of our volunteer-led group walks.

Whether you’re looking to get active, enjoy being out and about in nature, explore more of your local area or meet new friends, our group walks are for you. Walking and the National Trust go hand in hand, and what better way to see Sutton Hoo, reconnect with nature and meet new people than a gentle wander around? 

Walks take place monthly, with no walking experience required, come and walk with us on our volunteer-guided stroll and breathe the fresh air in special place. There are two options to book- just the walk is free, or pay £2.50 to have a hot drink in the cafe afterwards. 

Please note entry is for the walk only, to access other areas of the site head back to Visitor Welcome for an admission ticket.

Please note:

  • Meet in the courtyard by the ship sculpture.
  • Please dress suitably for the weather conditions on the day. Sturdy footwear is essential as this is a walking event and some paths are uneven.
  • Accessibility varies with which route is being taken that month, please contact us for further details.
  • Most suitable for adults and children over the age of 12.
  • A hot drink is included in the ticket price. However, from April 2025 there are two options to book- just the walk is free, or pay £2.50 to have a hot drink in the cafe afterwards.
