Join walk leaders for a scenic walk from Crook Hall Gardens to Durham University's Oriental Museum, discovering the city's history as you go. Includes a 20 minute visit to the Oriental Museum (free entry).
This is a circular route, returning to Crook Hall Gardens at the end. It is approximately 4 miles/6.5km and will take around 2 hours.
This event is free, but please book your place so we know how many walkers to expect.
If you wish to visit Crook Hall Gardens before or after the walk admission applies (free for National Trust members).

- Standard admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Meet in Crook Hall Gardens car park. Parking £3.30 up to 3 hours, free for National Trust members.
- Sturdy walking shoes/boots, waterproofs and warm layers to suit changeable weather advised.
- Please bring a drink, plus a snack if needed.
- This route is 4 miles long and includes some steps and uneven surfaces. Includes gentle inclines. Suitable for anyone who is able to complete the distance on foot.
- Suitable for children aged 10+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
- Dogs are welcome on this walk, must be on a lead.
