Hedgerow Harvest and Seed Planting
Make like a harvest mouse and gather some hedgerow seeds and fruits!
Join the National Trust in harvesting berries and seeds from hedgerows, then planting them to create a wildlife-rich wood pasture. No experience is necessary and all tools and gloves will be provided. Families welcome!
Please note that the event doesn't take place at Corfe Castle itself but at nearby Hartland Farm.
Please note:
- Please meet in the yard at Hartland Farm, New Line, Corfe Castle, BH20 5DX. (Please note, the meeting point is not at the castle, but nearby off A351.)
- Please dress in warm, comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty or snagged. Wear sturdy footwear and bring waterproofs.
- Bring your own snacks and drinks.
- The activities are taking place on rough farmland, with uneven ground which could be muddy in places.
- Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
- Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, but please note that there will be grazing animals in the area.
