Guided wider estate walk - Silence Walk
Join us for a mindful, guided walk through the Arlington estate. Step away from daily life, reconnect with nature, and find calm in the season’s beauty.
Come and join us for a gentle walk in the wider estate, taking in some of the amazing views of the North Devon countryside. This guided walk will begin with an introduction from our walking team. Your host will then lead the walk in silence, through some of the fields where our nature restoration work is going on stopping along the way where she will offer mindfulness cues.
This walk will be an opportunity to step away from 'doing' and step more in to 'being', bringing awareness to ourselves and our surroundings at this more reflective time of the year. Whether you feel the need to connect with yourself, with the season, with nature, or lost loved ones, this walk will provide the chance for you to do this, in a safe and supported way.
Because of the nature of this walk, we are limiting places to 16 people, age 14+. No dogs please on this occasion.
This event is free, but booking is essential. Car parking charge is £1.10/hour, up to £4.40 to stay all day (free for National Trust members).
Any questions please contact kate.tregellas@nationaltrust.org.uk.
Please note:
- The meeting point is outside the tea-room, where our walking volunteers will be to greet you.
- Wear sensible footwear, warm clothes and waterproofs. Dress for the weather.
- The terrain will be steep in parts over uneven and potentially slippery ground.
- Must be ages 14+.
