Creative Writing Workshops | A Year at Blickling: Late summer into autumn
Create poetry and prose inspired by the changing seasons at Blickling Estate. A series of creative writing workshops with tickets covering all three sessions.
Join poet and creative writing teacher Jonathan Ward to create your own poetry and prose inspired by being outside at Blickling.
A series of three creative writing workshops, each of which will involve a short walk and writing outside on the Estate. Sessions will also include some readings of seasonal literature and time for writing, reflection and sharing.
A short feedback email will be provided on one piece of writing per session. Beginners and more experienced writers are all welcome.
Please bring appropriate clothing and a notebook and pen. Time spent outdoors will vary depending on the weather. There will be a 45 minute break for lunch.
Sessions will take place on Tuesdays August 26, September 16 and September 30, 10.00am - 3.15pm. Tickets include all three sessions.
Please note:
- Normal car parking charges apply for this event. Car parking is free for National Trust members.
- When you arrive, please go to the welcome team in the estate barn near the main car park.
- Wear clothing suitable for walking around the Estate, sturdy footwear and weather appropriate items. Please also bring a notebook and pen.
- The indoor space for this workshop is on the first floor without lift access. The workshops will also involve walks in the parkland.
- This event is for over 18s.
