May half term: Free family activity walk

Join us for a free, family-friendly guided walk. Perfect for those exploring Longshaw for the first time, and those who want to see it through new eyes.

This free, family social walk is perfect for little legs. Enjoy nature-themed activities on a short walk, designed to help first-time visitors and regulars alike to explore Longshaw with confidence.

There will be fun nature-themed activities along the way, as we explore the world of minibeasts.

Please note:

  • Standard parking charges apply to non-members on arrival.
  • Meet at the Welcome Building, next to Woodcroft car park.
  • Dress for the weather, with sturdy outdoor shoes.
  • You might want to bring a snack and a drink for little ones. The walk will finish at the cafe, no later than 12pm.
  • The route is buggy friendly, and ends at the café where there are toilets, including baby change facilities. There are no stiles along the walk.
  • Designed for children age 5-10. Children must be supervised by an adult. Adults attending will need to also purchase a ticket.
  • Assistance dogs only on this walk please.
