Art in the Park
Come and join local volunteer artists for a morning of sketching or painting in the park at Croome.
Join us for a relaxed monthly art class held on Wednesdays from 10 am to 12 pm, set within the inspiring landscape of Croome. This session is perfect for anyone who wants to explore sketching outdoors, from absolute beginners picking up a pencil for the first time to experienced artists looking to build a portfolio of landscape studies.
Each session will focus on a different area of Croome's landscape, encouraging you to create a portfolio of work and helping you to develop your observational skills and plein air techniques in a supportive, creative environment. The locations for each session are as follows:
- 22 April – Church Hill
- 20 May Views from the South Lawn
- 24 June – Island Pavilion/ islands/ Lake
- 22 July – Evergreen Shrubbery/ Four Seasons
- 19 August – Temple Greenhouse
- 23 September – Rotunda
Sessions are £10 per person, which includes access to basic drawing materials and a drawing board. Normal admission applies.
To make the most of your session, we recommend bringing a sketchbook, any specialised materials you enjoy working with and a foldable chair for comfort while drawing outdoors.
Please note:
- Standard admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Meet at Visitor Reception at Croome.
- Please wear outdoor event weather appropriate clothing.
- The workshop will be out in the Parkland which is accessible with hard standing paths.
- Not suitable for children.
