Winter Tree ID Walk
Join a National Trust Ranger and discover more about some of the oldest and most fascinating trees here in the grounds of Gawthorpe Hall.
Join National Trust Ranger, David Bevis, for a walk through Gawthorpe’s woodland and learn all about the trees that reside here and how to identify them in winter.
The event will run on Saturday 31st January, 10-12pm.
The first hour will involve an ID workshop where you will learn how to identify the different tree species.
The second hour will put this into practice, with a gentle walk around the estate looking at the variety of different species found here at Gawthorpe Hall.
Also learn about our upcoming woodland management work and the exciting things we have planned ahead.
Please note:
- Meet in the car park.
- Wear sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing.
- The route will require attendees to navigate a stile and therefore will not be pushchair or wheelchair friendly. The majority of the walk will follow the main paths.
- This is a family friendly event.
