Free Guided Walk: The Secret Operations Executive (SOE) on Headley Heath
Join local historian Lorraine Spindler on this guided walk to learn more about Headley’s covert history and its role in training SOE agents.
Eighty years ago, Headley Heath played a major role in the training of Secret Operations Executive agents, with two taking part in Operation Anthropoid; one of the most decisive and consequential acts of sabotage seen during the Second World War.
Normal parking charges apply. National Trust members park for free.
Please note:
- Park at Headley Heath main car park (KT18 6NN). Meet on the green next to the donation cairn.
- Dress for the weather. Stout boots are recommended as the walk will be over rough, uneven ground which may be wet.
- The paths can be narrow and muddy with a layer of stones and tree roots.
- Not suitable for children.
