For centuries Orford and Orford Ness have been mysterious places - remote and isolated the very landscape encourages storytelling. From the Wild Man of Orford through to tales of UFOs and strange military experiments, join us on a walk across Orford Ness as we share some of these fascinating tales. Are they true or false - you decide!
Please note:
- Meet at 9.15am at the National Trust Ticket Office on Orford Quay for a brief introduction followed by transfer by ferry to the Ness for a 9.30am start.
- Orford Ness is an exposed coastal location - please dress for the weather. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Involves ferry crossing - must be able to negotiate steep and sometimes slippery steps. Mostly made up paths, some uneven. The walk itself is around 3 miles long.
- Not suitable for children.
