Printing workshop: Design your own tea towel at Bateman's
Feel inspired to design, print and craft your own bespoke tea towel to take home.
Join textile print artist Sarita Prints Joy for a hands-on workshop exploring the beautiful and traditional art of Indian woodblock printing.
In this relaxed and creative session, you’ll learn the basics of woodblock printing while experimenting with pattern, colour, and composition. Sarita will guide you step by step on how to create clear, confident prints as you play with her extensive selection of hand-carved wood block stamps.
You’ll begin by practicing your designs on paper, exploring different colour combinations and layouts. Once you’ve found your favourite design, you’ll bring it to life by printing onto a 100% cotton tea towel — a unique, handmade piece to take home and treasure. We’ll be printing with a vibrant palette of fabric paints, making each print completely individual.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, you will be guided through every step and offered design inspiration, with all materials provided. Your ticket includes entry to Bateman's.
