Print your own shopper tote bag – Indian Block Printing Workshop
Feel inspired to design, print and craft your own bespoke shopper tote bag to take home.
Unlock your creativity this summer with our Indian Block Printing Workshops, hosted by printmaker Sarah from Sarita Prints Joy. Taking place inside Bateman’s house, this hands-on workshop will guide you through the art of woodblock printing to design and create your very own shopper tote bag.
You’ll begin by selecting from a collection of beautifully hand-carved Indian woodblocks and a vibrant palette of paint colours. Experiment with layouts on a paper template before hand-printing your unique design onto a white shopper tote bag. If there is time you will also have an opportunity to print a set of greeting cards.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, Sarah will guide you through every step, with all materials provided.
Friday 11 July from 2pm to 4.30pm and Saturday 12 July from 2pm to 4.30pm. £50 per person, with refreshments provided on arrival. There are 8 people per session, and admission is included.
