Guided Tours: Secrets of Coleshill
17 April to 11 October, 1pm and 2.30pm Thursdays and Saturdays: Find out more about some of the lesser-known chapters of the estate’s history and look behind the scenes of the Heritage and Rural Skills Centre.
There’s much more to Coleshill than meets the eye. Join a guided tour to find out more about Coleshill House, lost to fire in the 1950s, and discover the secret and sabotage-filled wartime training that took over much of the estate during the Second World War. You'll also see behind the scenes of the former Model Farm, now home to the National Trust Heritage and Rural Skills Centre.
From fake castles and cunningly-camouflaged huts to a hi-tech Victorian farm, this tour reveals elements of Coleshill that you might walk past without noticing.
This tour involves a walk of approximately 1km around Coleshill, including a steep hill.
