This course will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and tools you need to become a successful therapeutic facilitator.

This course is suitable for both seasoned therapists looking to expand their skillset and newcomers to the field of horticultural therapy.

Course Delivery:

The course will be delivered by Ciarán McLoughlin. Ciarán has extensive experience working with children, young people, and adults affected by mental illness. He currently serves as the project manager for Manchester City Council's community food growing network and leads "Grow our Recovery," a social and therapeutic horticulture intervention supporting people in the early stages of addiction recovery.

Please note:

  • Please meet at Castlefield Viaduct entrance
  • Castlefield Viaduct is fully accessible with wheelchair access via two lifts, one from the Roman Gardens and one from Deansgate Metrolink stop.
  • Please wear outdoor clothes that are appropriate for the weather and ones that you don't mind getting dirty as we will be working with plants and soil.
  • This event is not suitable for children.
