Outdoor theatre - Romeo & Juliet
Join us on Friday 8 August for one of the world's most enduring love stories - Romeo & Juliet.
Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company as they bring the bard’s beloved tragedy to life here in the grounds of Rufford Old Hall.
When two scions of warring families in Verona fall suddenly and desperately in love, their only hope is to marry in secret, but the bad blood between their houses runs deep, and the star-crossed lovers soon find themselves forced to choose between their family names or their love for one-another.
The tragedy that follows is one of the world’s most enduring love stories.
Please note:
- From the car park, make your way to the Beech Walk Paddock where the performance will take place.
- Bring low backed chairs or blankets as seating is not provided. As the sun sets it can get cold, so layers of clothes are advised.
- Performance and seating area is on grass and will go ahead in all weathers, so please come prepared if required. Access to the Beech Walk Paddock is via a large cobbled area.
- Prior to the performance, there will be an opportunity to purchase food from the tea-room. During the interval the tearoom will be open for refreshments, cakes, hot/cold drinks, crisps and ice cream. If you prefer, please feel free to bring a picnic.
- This is a family friendly event.
