Blossom Tour with Head Arborist at Dyffryn Gardens

Take a free blossom tour of the gardens with Senior Gardener and Head Arborist, Rory Ambrose, on Thursday 27 March.

Take a tour with Arborist Rory around the Arboretum and gardens and discover the beauty of the changing season. He’ll walk you through some of the best spots for blossom on that particular day, sharing along the way how we care for and restore a historical arboretum with nature in mind. Ask questions and find out in-depth information about the trees and plants you come across, including how they all fit in with our biodiversity and restoration work.

You can pre-book your free place or turn up on the day (we recommend pre-booking to avoid disappointment, there are 20 places on each tour). The tour is around an hour-and-a-half long. These tours will take in several areas of site – there will be regular stops but be prepared to be on the move.

These tours are free of charge but normal admission applies. If you are a National Trust member admission to the gardens is free. If you enjoy the tour, please feel free to give a donation towards our restoration and biodiversity efforts.

Please note:

  • Normal admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
  • Meet at the Welcome Centre, let the Welcome Team know you're here for the tour.
  • Dress for the weather and wear good shoes for walking.
  • The route can be adapted to the group's needs but the nature of the Arboretum means they are not always easily accessible to those using wheelchairs, pushchairs or mobility scooters.
  • This tour is designed for adults but we welcome older children/teenagers too.
