Dear Future: I Leave This Place For You - 23 June - Speke Hall
Find out how a gift in your will can help us protect and preserve the special places in our care.
Without gifts in wills, we simply wouldn’t be able to look after the extraordinary places in our care. This special event will take you behind the scenes to see first-hand how your support is helping us carry out crucial conservation work every day, and how a gift in your own will could help to safeguard the future of our special places.
Speke Hall is a rare Tudor timber-framed manor house in an unusual setting on the banks of the River Mersey. Restored in the 19th century, it is a unique mixture of Tudor simplicity and Victorian Arts and Crafts aesthetics. This special visit will be a unique opportunity to explore the house and gardens and hear about some of Speke Hall's more than 400 year history.
Over lunch you will hear from a local solicitor from the National Free Wills Network about the importance of an up to date will and we'll share information on how to access the National's Trusts free will service. You'll also have the opportunity to chat further with members of the team to learn about their work and why gifts in wills are so crucial.
Please note:
- Please meet at the main visitor centre, where a member of staff will be ready to greet you and direct you towards the registration area.
- Flat, comfortable shoes and a jacket for the walking tour are recommended. Part of the tour will be outside, so please dress appropriately for the weather on the day.
- The property has designated mobility parking spaces and accessible toilets. Entrance to the house is level and the ground floor is wheelchair accessible. The garden is mostly flat, with some steep gradients. Please let us know when booking if you have accessibility requirements. If you would like to discuss your accessibility requirements, please call the Gifts in Wills Team on 01793 817699.
- For a digital guide on disabled access at Speke Hall, visit https://www.accessable.co.uk/national-trust/speke-hall-national-trust.
- Only suitable for adults.
- Food and drinks prepared in our kitchens are made using a wide range of ingredients. Whilst we do our very best, we can’t guarantee that any of our products are totally allergen free.
- If you require more information about ingredients or allergens for this event, please contact legacyevents@nationaltrust.org.uk or call the Gifts in Wills Team on 01793 817699.
