Dear Future: I Leave This Place For You - 17 June - Golden Cap

Find out how a gift in your will can help us protect and preserve the special places in our care.

Without gifts in wills, we simply wouldn’t be able to look after the extraordinary places in our care. This special event will take you behind the scenes to see first-hand how your support is helping us carry out crucial conservation work every day, and how a gift in your own will could help to safeguard the future of our special places.

You'll be taken on a guided stroll, via lanes, footpaths and meadows, around parts of the Golden Cap Estate - a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). You'll have stunning views of the iconic Golden Cap (Dorset's highest point) and the Jurassic Coast, and explore wildflower meadows teeming with wildlife. Drinks will be served part way through the walk, and a light lunch at the end.

Please note:

  • Meet at Filcombe Farm (DT6 6EP), a National Trust property where free parking will be available. Full details will be provided via email a few weeks before the event.
  • Walking shoes or boots (possibly wellies if it has rained recently) and a jacket for this walking tour are recommended. Most of the event is outside, so dress appropriately for the weather on the day.
  • Golden Cap Estate has an undulating, hilly landscape with grassy paths and clifftops, rough terrain and gradients. The route can be navigated with a Tramper, which it is possible to pre-book. Please let us know when booking if you have accessibility requirements. If you would like to discuss your accessibility requirements in more detail, please call the Gifts in Wills Team on 01793 817699.
  • For a digital guide on disabled access at Golden Cap, visit https://www.accessable.co.uk/national-trust/golden-cap-national-trust.
  • Only suitable for adults.
  • Food and drinks prepared in our kitchens are made using a wide range of ingredients. Whilst we do our very best, we can’t guarantee that any of our products are totally allergen free.
