Dear Future: I Leave This Place For You - 11 June - Ightham Mote
Find out how a gift in your will can help us protect and preserve the special places in our care.
Without gifts in wills, we simply wouldn’t be able to look after the extraordinary places in our care. This special event will take you behind the scenes to see first-hand how your support is helping us carry out crucial conservation work every day, and how a gift in your own will could help to safeguard the future of our special places.
Go behind the scenes at 14th-century Ightham Mote and see the ongoing transformation and reinstatement of the beautiful Walled Garden with our experts. A local solicitor of the National Free Wills Network will be explaining why an up to date will is so important and we’ll share information on the National Trust's free will writing service. Over light refreshments, you’ll have the opportunity to chat further to members of the team and learn more about why gifts in wills are so important to our work.
Please note:
- From 10:00am we’ll meet as a group at the Visitor Reception where you’ll be collected by a member of the team and escorted to the event location.
- Flat, comfortable shoes and a jacket for the walking tour are recommended. Part of the tour will be outside, so please dress appropriately for the weather on the day.
- The property has areas which may be uneven in places, including inclines and steps. Please let us know when booking if you have accessibility requirements. If you would like to discuss your accessibility requirements in more detail, please call the Gifts in Wills Team on 01793 817699.
- Only suitable for adults
- For a digital guide on disabled access at Ightham Mote, visit https://www.accessable.co.uk/national-trust/ightham-mote-national-trust
- Please arrive 30 to 15 minutes before the event start time for registration. Guests will have the option to explore the property independently after the event concludes at 14:30pm.
- Please note, food and drinks prepared in our kitchens are made using a wide range of ingredients. Whilst we do our very best, we can’t guarantee that any of our products are totally allergen free. If you require more information about ingredients or allergens for an event, please contact legacyevents@nationaltrust.org.uk or call the Gifts in Wills Team on 01793 817699.
