Romeo and Juliet - Smallhythe Place

East 15 Acting School returns to the Barn Theatre for a lively performance of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'.

For 2025, we are delighted to bring you William Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' in which our actors, who have been training together for the last 2 years, use all their individual and collaborative company skills to present thrilling and original productions.

This will be the first public performance for the current second year students and Shakespeare with a fresh mind!

As would have been the case in Shakespeare’s own Globe Theatre, our productions are adapted for and created by the company. This ensemble spirit is a crucial part of our ethos at East 15 Acting School.

Now part of the University of Essex, East 15 was founded over 55 years ago by Maggie Bury to train actors in the tradition of Joan Littlewood’s Theatre Workshop Company at the Theatre Royal Stratford, London.

Please note:

  • Please meet at the Barn Theatre entrance via the Tea Room
  • There is wheelchair access
