Lino Print Workshop
Have you ever wanted to learn how to print?
Come along for an introductory session into the world of lino printing. Learn the fundamentals of printing and produce a series of spring inspired prints to take home with you.
This workshop is open to all – whether you are new to printing, or you’d just like to build your confidence with the medium. The session will start with an overview of different carving techniques, mark making, and creating positive and negative images with your lino. After an opportunity to experiment, you will carve out your own unique design, taking inspiration from the spring season.
In the latter half of the session, you will produce a selection of prints using a hand burnishing method. This is an accessible yet effective form of printing that can be easily done at home without the need of an expensive printing press.
There will be plenty of examples on hand for you to draw from, but feel free to bring along any of your own imagery. All materials and equipment will be provided.
This workshop will take place in the Old School Village Hall in Belton village. Please make sure to arrive 10 minutes before the start of the session to allow time to walk from the main Belton carpark to the Old School Village Hall. There is street parking outside of the venue.
