Guided landscape walk: Waden Hill circuit

You can discover more of the history of the landscape that surrounds Avebury on this guided walk.

The Waden Hill circuit takes in some of the Neolithic monuments which make up this ancient and intriguing landscape. The volunteer guide will help you to unlock their past by explaining the history of the landscape as you walk.

Begin at Avebury and walk along the Winterbourne towards Silbury Hill, up Waden Hill and back via the West Kennet Avenue.

Walks begin at 1:30pm and finish around 4pm, they are around 3-4 miles. They include a steep incline and muddy or uneven ground, but no stiles.

Please note:

  • Please meet at visitor reception in the barn.
  • Wear clothing suitable for a walk in the countryside.
  • This is roughly a 3 miles walk over uneven ground with some steep slopes.
  • This event is aimed primarily at adults.
