Bat Walks at Winkworth
Bat Walks led by the Surrey Bat Society will guide you on a twilight walk through the arboretum, exploring the area's best bat habitats.
You'll start the walk at the entrance to Winkworth's Visitor Welcome Centre, where you will hear a short talk before heading out into the Arboretum using bat echo detectors to listen out for their calls and chirps. Winkworth is home to several bat species due to its varied habitats, including woodland areas, clear meadows and lake.
The guided walk lasts approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. Please arrive promptly at the advertised start time. Access to the Arboretum will be 15 mins before, where team members will be on hand to let you into the property and guide you to the main car park. Please do not park on the road or block the entrance gate. Please park in the main car park outside the Visitor Welcome Centre.
