Chiltern's Walking Festival: History of Whipsnade Tree Cathedral
Join us in celebration of Chiltern's Walking Festival with this guided circular stroll to Whipsnade Tree Cathedral.
A chance to connect with history whilst soaking in the beauty of spring. This route will take you on a circular route to Whipsnade Tree Cathedral, with fun facts on our landscape, nature, and habitats along the way.
At the Tree Cathedral, you'll discover the history of its post-WWI founding, the stages of creation, and our future plans for this majestic space of 'faith, hope, and reconciliation.'
This walk is part of the Chiltern's Walking Festival 2025; a programme of guided walks, activities and special events taking place over 15 days in May
Adult tickets are £3, children £1.50. Under 5s go free (no ticket required). Normal car parking charges apply. Please book ahead as there will be limited availability on the day.
Afterwards, View Café will be open for you to warm up and purchase a comforting brew.
Please note:
- Please meet the group at the visitor centre to begin the stroll.
- Please wear suitable footwear and clothing as it could get muddy.
- The route is not suitable for those with wheelchairs or pushchairs.
- Children are welcome.
- Well behaved dogs welcome on leads.
