See how many different species of fungi you can find and identify together. There are many different shapes and colours and species, they can be found growing on trees, deadwood, on the woodland floor, and on grassland. 

Look out for species such as common earth balls, shaggy ink caps, and the iconic fly agaric.

Novices and experts are all welcome to come and learn more about the role that fungi play in the ecosystem and how important they are on a global scale.

This is a fungi identification walk and not a foraging event. Ticket price includes boat fare, entry and the guided walk.

  • The boat will leave from Poole Quay at 10am, please allow plenty of time to park and arrive at the Quay early.
  • Please wear sturdy outdoor clothing and footwear paying special attention to recent and up to date weather forecast.
  • Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access on the boat.
  • This is a fungi identification walk and not a foraging event. The boat will leave from Poole Quay.
