Big Camp Out - Sheffield Park and Garden
Visit Sheffield Park after dark! Join us from 12.00pm on Friday 7 August to camp out under the stars on our cricket grounds.
Join us for our exciting new Big Camp Out event, giving you the chance to camp out on our cricket grounds under the stars, and experience the beauty Sheffield Park and Garden has to offer as night descends.
We will be running a variety of activities all included within the ticket price, such as:
- bat walks
- bushcraft and den making
- kwik cricket games
- charcoal making demonstration with rangers
- crafts, including pebble painting, weaving and macrame
- wellbeing sessions
- stargazing
- live music in the evening
- campfire songs
- marshmallow toasting
- and more!
Food outlets in the garden will be open to buy food and drinks during the day, and you’ll have plenty of downtime to relax. A concession stand will be available up at the cricket grounds in the evening to buy dinner.
Friday 7 August – Saturday 8 August 2026. Entry 12pm-1pm on Friday, with activities starting at 2pm. Exit by 9am on Saturday morning.
Booking for this event is essential.
Please note:
- Only one tent is allowed per pitch. There is a maximum of 4 adults per pitch or a total of 6 persons. Pitch dimension is 8X5m. Under 5s are free but must be included within the 6 persons limit.
- Only one dog per pitch permitted, to be kept under close control and on a lead at all times.
- Entry to the camp site will be via the East Park Entrance. Stewards will meet you on arrival. Further details will be sent out in a pre-event email.
- Toilets and sinks will be available, but we don’t have any showers so please bring wipes or flannels. A suggested kit list and welcome pack will be sent out in a pre-event email.
- Because of gradient and surface of paths leading to the cricket pitch, the campsite may be inaccessible to those with mobility issues. Please call us to speak about this.
- Children are very welcome. Children must be accompanied by adults at all times on site.
- The only permitted fire will be our fire pit. Please do not bring your own barbecues or gas fires. Cooking is prohibited.
- The Big Camp Out event will still go ahead in wet weather. In the case of an event of force majeure, the event will be rescheduled and tickets transferred to the new date.
