British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreted Bateman's House Tour 2025
Join an expert guide and a BSL interpreter on a small group tour of Bateman's.
Led by an expert guide and accompanied by BSL interpreter Kelly West, these small group tours offer a fascinating insight into the history of Bateman's and the Kipling family.
Bateman's was the family home of world-famous writer Rudyard Kipling, known for The Jungle Book and Just So Stories. Built in 1634, this Jacobean house is in the Sussex countryside.
This tour offers access to the house and its collection with simultaneous BSL interpretation.
The tour will last approximately 1 hour, and we welcome those both Deaf and hearing to join.
Monday 13 October - 2pm to 3pm
Free, booking required. Normal admission applies. (Max 8 people)

- Please head to the Visitor Reception on arrival with your booking details to collect your tickets.
- This is an indoor event. Please wear clothing suitable for the weather.

- The ground floor of Bateman's House has level access; the second floor is only accessible via stairs.
