Join artist and printmaker, Neera Sehgal to experience the centuries old heritage craft of printing with hand carved Indian wood blocks.

About Neera Sehgal
Neera Sehgal is a West London artist and printmaker pushing the boundaries with this technique of printmaking. Neera’s Work explores layering patterns and images using Indian woodblocks on both textiles and handmade papers. The blocks hold a familiarity unlike other printmaking tools, she finds the process of mark making through these a meditative practice.
She designs her blocks which are then carved by skilled craftspeople in India, a collaboration between cultures and generations linking her past and present to her heritage. Her work is founded on a desire of sharing the beauty of this craft through time and across generations.
Neera has facilitated workshops at Museums & Galleries inluding the V&A, Somerset House, Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery. Her blockprinted work, Meditate, exhibited at the RA Summer Exhibition 2024.
