National Forest Walking Festival: the Tramway Trail by scooter at Calke Abbey

As part of the National Forest Walking Festival, come and enjoy a guided ride along the Tramway Trail.

Take a trip along the Tramway Trail with a park guide, who’ll share with you some of the fabulous history of the Tramway along with the work that happens to protect this important park.

Bring along a companion and soak up fantastic views as you explore together. Add an ‘accompanying walker’ ticket to your basket at checkout. One per scooter ticket available.

If you don't have your own mobility scooter, you can hire one of our trampers for free. We have three trampers available on a first-come, first-served basis. Ring 01332 863822 to book a tramper and then pick it up on the day from the Ticket Office.

Please note:

  • Standard admissions charges apply to non-members on arrival.
  • Please meet at Calke Explore.
  • Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, including waterproofs if weather appropriate.
  • The Tramway Trail is an accessible figure-of-eight route along a relatively flat terrain. There is level access from the car park at Calke Explore onto the trail, with accessible parking bays. A Changing Places facility is available at Calke Explore.
